Music Industry is shit right now. It seems that record companies are introducing artist week by week, but nothing creatively is being generated. My beef with music today is that its not much to listen to that is worth while.

much agreed. record companies are all about making the money and shitting out music that sounds watered down. i think the new retro electronica music like mgmt and ting tings is kinda different. like the blog thing. cool.
ReplyDeleteAdvances in music technology have made it a lot easier for people to make music and mass produce it. It would be nice if everyone who makes music took some introductory course in music theory or at least knew how to physically play an instrument like the trumpet. Now its not too hard to make music. All you gotta do is figure out the beat program, press some buttons, put some sounds together, and then all of a sudden you have "music." One way to put a stop to this shitty music trend is to educate youngsters more about music and encourage them to learn musical instruments, maybe a little music theory to go with it. Bring that shit to the school board and maybe we can see some change
